My team found that Xenophage absolutely decimates these fuses, but you can also use shotguns or sniper rifles. You will also need to damage the central fuses in the room until they are destroyed. You will want to prepare for these enemies, as they are the biggest threats in the encounter. There is no “boss,” however, you will have Overload Champions and yellow bar Fallen Captains with void shields. To start, you will want to bring in any mob clearing Supers and weapons with you. This is a puzzle encounter that can be confusing at first glance but is actually pretty simple. Your first major challenge, assuming you survived the frigid cold of the Sparrow race, will be to deactivate the Crypt’s Security. The biggest draw is, of course, is the new Deep Stone Crypt raid on Europa. This expansion includes new characters, missions, endgame activities, weapons, exotics, and enemy types. Acting as the next major chapter in this FPS/RPG hybrid, players will embark on a journey to Europa to battle against a Fallen leader called Eramis and learn more about the true nature of the Darkness. The chest does, however, have useful raid mods that players can stock up on for a future Deep Stone Crypt raid run. Raid chests in Destiny 2 work by pulling from the player’s existing loot pool, which is made up of pieces of gear and weapons that they have already earned as a drop from encounters. That being said, Destiny 2 players will not get any “loot” from the chest if they haven’t completed any encounters within the Deep Stone Crypt. And once the modifier is gone and players can take advantage of their Artifact bonus power, it should be well worth opening every week. Right now, with the Contest modifier active, it’s going to be much more difficult to get through the whole encounter without dying, but it is possible. The first “encounter” of Deep Stone Crypt involves the fireteam moving through a blizzard on their Sparrows or Fallen Pikes, all while avoiding spider mines and enemies. Some might even be able to do it solo, either right now or after the Contest modifier has been deactivated. Specifically, the first hidden chest has been found and it’s relatively easy to open. The newest raid for Destiny 2, Deep Stone Crypt, is here and while hardcore players are still trying to make their way through the various encounters, others have already found some secrets.
